Discover the Legacy of Nickel District Skeet and Trap Club

Since its inception in 1960 as the Nickel District Gun Club, the Nickel District Skeet and Trap Club has been an integral part of the Sudbury shooting community. Originally founded in Garson, Ontario, the club made a strategic move to Azilda on Bonin Rd in 1969 to expand its offerings to enthusiasts of Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays disciplines.

In a significant milestone, the club was officially incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1991, cementing its commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for shooters of all levels.

On July 10, 1997, a new chapter began for the club as it acquired a sprawling 160-acre property in Worthington, Ontario on C. Johnson Road in collaboration with the Sudbury and District Kennel Club. This partnership solidified the club's dedication to providing a premier facility for outdoor enthusiasts in the region.

With a rich history spanning over six decades and a vision aimed at promoting camaraderie and skill development in clay shooting sports, the Nickel District Skeet and Trap Club continues to stand as a beacon for shooting sports in the Sudbury area. Join us in celebrating our heritage and passion for the sport at our picturesque location in Worthington, where memories are made and skills are honed among friends and fellow shooters.
